Are hypnotherapy and hypnosis the same thing?
Hypnotherapy is a type of therapy that uses hypnosis as a tool to help people make positive changes in their lives. In other words hypnosis is used as a therapeutic tool.
Hypnosis is a phenomenon of our mind, a state of focused concentration and relaxation that allows the therapist to access the unconscious to make positive changes.
How does it work?
During a hypnotherapy session, the therapist guides the person into a state of relaxation and heightened suggestibility. Once the person is in this state, the therapist can make suggestions or offer guidance to help the person achieve their desired goals or overcome challenges.
